The WAGT National Qualifier will be conducted on Monday, May 22 on the Slammer & Squire golf course at the World Golf Village.

This annual gathering of media and golf industry executives is conducted by the non-profit, media-based International Network of Golf, and is open to anyone in the golf industry or media.

The WAGT National Qualifier is sanctioned by the World Amateur Golfers Tour USA, a series of tournaments across the U.S. leading into the national finals in August. This is the sixth year that ING has hosted a national qualifying tournament for WGAT. Visit http://www.wgatusa.com/ for more information.

WAGT SmithThe top five scorers in this individual net stroke play event will advance to the WAGT National Finals August 3-5 at the Omni Resort at ChampionsGate in Kissimmee, FL. Entry fee and accommodations will be complimentary at the Omni Resort for the five ING qualifiers. And as ING member Jim Smith did last year, flight winners at the nationals qualify for an expenses–paid trip to the World Championships Nov. 18-25 in Malaysia to represent the USA.

The 10th Annual Durland Cup Team Scramble will take place Wednesday on the Slammer & Squire. This event is named in honor of ING’s first golf chair, Larry Durland, who passed away in 2015.

The ING Spring Conference’s opening night festivities will take place in the World Golf Hall of Fame Museum, located next to the host hotel, the WGV Renaissance. Attendees will be granted free entry into the museum, and will be allowed to stroll through the dozens of exhibits at their leisure. There will also be contests, including one on the golf simulator.WAGT-Tim
