EDUKAYTION GOLF, established in 2002, is a premier golf instruction company and the home of Golf 8.5 – a new generation of learning. Kay McMahon, Director of Instruction, created Golf 8.5, a simplistic approach to golf instruction, disrupting traditional teaching and easing the confusion that golf is difficult to learn. McMahon and partner Eloise Trainor teach Golf 8.5, only 4 things to do before the swing and only 4.5 things in the swing, to counter the myriad of thoughts planted in people’s minds, making golf easy and quicker to learn and improve. McMahon and Golf 8.5 won the 2015 ING Industry Honor for player development. www.edukaytiongolf.com.

INPUTT, a simple to use portable patent-pending putting training tool guides a golfer’s body to replicate the same stance and stroke on every putt.  INPUTT helps a golfer identify and correct mistakes by teaching an easily repeatable putting stroke.   The simple plastic mold is set up on the practice putting green and allows golfers to practice keeping the putter head square through the stroke.  Results are immediate.  INPUTT is handcrafted in the USA and designed for both right and left-handed golfers. www.inputtgolf.com.

KNUTH GOLF added to its reputation of bringing cutting edge technology to the market by introducing the High Heat 257+ metalwoods at the PGA Merchandise Show in January. The High Heat 257+ technology is a result of a rule change two years ago that allows more trampoline effect in the toe and heel areas of the clubface. High Heat 257+ with its novel 3-trampoline technology is the only brand with the highest CT (characteristic time) in the toe and heel areas for providing the same distance as the center of the face permitted by the rule change. “The ball comes off so hot no matter where you hit it on the face,” said Gary Van Sickle of the Morning Read. www.knuthgolf.com.

One-On-One Appointment Show Is NetworkING At Its’ Best At ING SprING Conference

At most conferences where networking is the ultimate goal, attendees are brought together in one room and left on their own to meet and exchange business cards.

The One-On-One Appointment Show at the ING Spring Conference takes it a step further, arranging a series of 15-minute, pre-scheduled meetings between people who can help each other grow in the golf industry.

The One-On-One Appointment Show will be one of the highlights at the 28th Annual ING Spring Conference May 20-23 at the IP Casino Resort & Spa in Biloxi, MS. Anyone in the golf industry and media is invited to join ING and attend the conference.

Nearly everyone at the conference can benefit from participation in the ING One-On-One Appointment Show, which will be held on Tuesday at this year’s conference. It was created to place an emphasis on business relations between the media and golf companies, resorts, destinations and entrepreneurs.

Participating companies set up tabletop displays and conduct private meetings held every 15 minutes, for nearly six hours.

The exhibitor and the visiting media member or business attendee share the time, with the goal being to create win-win programs. At the very least, a business relationship is established or nurtured.

It is also a perfect time for writers to gather story material and TV/Radio broadcasters to do interviews. Several golf radio shows will take part in Radio Row during the Appointment Show. Each show will set up a table, and exhibitors will be brought to the table to do recorded radio interviews for future airings.

The ING staff gathers all meeting requests ahead of the conference and makes appropriate matches for the appointments. The entire schedule is determined and published prior to the show to allow for adequate planning time.

Another key element of the conference for exhibiting companies is the Demo Lab on Monday morning at Shell Landing Golf Club. Companies with golf equipment and training aids set up on the range and putting green where attendees try the products first hand.

The conference will feature a full schedule of networking and educational events, along with the Appointment Show and Demo Lab:

  • EDUCATION: Sessions include Marketing & PR, Social Media Marketing and more.
  • GOLF: The World Amateur Golfers Championship, USA National Qualifier will take place Monday on the Davis Love-designed Shell Landing Golf Club. This individual stroke play net competition will be divided into five flights. In recent years, ING Qualifiers John Duval and Jim Smith have won their flights in the National Championship and went on to represent the USA in the World Championship.

Also, the 11th Annual Durland Cup team scramble will take place The Oaks Golf Club on Wednesday.

ING SprING Conference RequestING Speakers For Unique ING Talks Concept

The International Network of Golf is bringing back its speaking concept called ING Talks at its 28th Annual ING Spring Conference May 20-23 at the IP Casino Resort & Spa in Biloxi, MS, and is looking for folks who have a non-commercial message to deliver.

The ING Spring Conference is the annual gathering of golf media and industry executives, and is conducted by the non-profit, media-based International Network of Golf. Anyone in the golf industry or media is eligible to attend.

ING Talks is structured similarly to TED, a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks of 18

minutes or less. But ING Talks has a narrower focus on subject matter. The objective is to provide conference attendees (media and industry leaders) with helpful information they can utilize in their own businesses and careers.

That is the true essence of ING, whose members come together to help each other flourish in the golf industry. ING is about information sharing, education, product exposure and relationship building.

What ING Talks is NOT, is a commercial for products or services. While speakers can selectively use examples of their own company, service or product to make their point, they can’t use the time as a sales pitch. There are other elements of the conference built for that.

To request a Proposal Worksheet so you can submit your idea for ING Talks, click on the previous link, email mike@jamisongolf.com, or call 407-328-0500. Proposal deadline is March 2.

The ING Conference Assistance Committee and ING Staff will review the proposals and determine who will present at this year’s Conference. It is required that all ING Talks Presenters be registered attendees at the conference.

If your topic is chosen, you will have up to 15 minutes during Wednesday educational sessions at the conference, to deliver your ING Talks message. Following your talk attendees will be asked to complete evaluation forms that will provide feedback to you.

Along with the new ING Talks concept, the conference will feature a full schedule of networking and educational events, including the popular One-On-One Appointment Show, where exhibitors conduct a series of 15-minute meetings with media members and attendees of their choice. Also on the schedule:

  • DEMO LAB: This is a wonderful opportunity for attendees to test the latest golf equipment and training aids on the practice range and green.
Winners of those flights will earn complimentary entry and accommodations in the World Amateur Golfers Championship, USA National Championship Aug. 2-4 at the Hollywood Casino in Bay St. Louis, MS. In recent years, ING Qualifiers John Duval and Jim Smith have won their flights in the National Championship and went on to represent the USA in the World Championship.

Also, the 11th Annual Durland Cup team scramble will take place The Oaks Golf Club on Wednesday.

  • NETWORKING: Several networking sessions are planned, including the Opening Night Welcome Reception and the Tuesday Night Banquet.
